More war authorization underway?
We started bombing ISIS months ago, but now Obama is ready to call for war authorizations from Congress.
The terminology in the proposed three-year military campaign is vague enough to allow on-ground troops to perform a wide range of tasks, leaving the possibilities a little too open to exploit.
Obama says he is against the idea of perpetual war, and proposed the three year limit for that specific reason.
A little uncomfortable though, given that this would hand the war over to Obama’s predecessor.
