Since at least 2011, the US and its allies were the prime funders of "regime change" in the Middle East.

The US news media painted it as a spontaneous outpouring of "the desire for freedom."

No it was not. It was us giving al-Qaeda and ISIS fighters arms, training and tactical support to undermine regimes we didn't like.

Now countries like Syria and Tunisia are in shambles - and we now claim to be mystified about where all the refugees are coming from.
