Tech amplifies what is, it doesn't change anything
If you get all your news from TV, you'd think the tech revolution is 100% positive. All you need to "change the world" is to put technology into people's hands.
This is nothing more or less than Silicon Valley propaganda/sales talk repeated by brain dead, unthinking reporters.
The truth is far more nuanced.
This is not to say that technology is not a help, but it is not a magic cure and in some cases it can be negative force.
The reality is technology solves nothing.
Educated, organized, motivated people change things. Technology is just a paperweight.
