You've probably seen people with Chinese characters tattooed on them.
When did Americans and others suddenly become literate in Chinese?
They didn't.
People are having random characters tattooed on themselves without having a clue what they mean.
Hmmm...
I guess it's a kind of intelligence test - and a whole lot of people aren't passing it.
