Criminal stupidity
The original plan was Obamacare was going to force millions of healthy young people to join the health insurance racket and that would subsidize payments to others. Ooops. It didn't work. The healthy stayed away and people with serious illnesses flooded in. No worries. If private health insurance companies lose money on Obamacare, they will be bailed out - a backroom deal they didn't let you in on. But hey, money grows on trees and laws passed in secret are good for you.
