It's now known beyond any doubt that there are people imprisoned in Guantanamo that have never been charged with a crime and for whom no evidence of crime has been committed.

In fact, in terms of no formal charges (because of no evidence), that makes up the majority of prisoners.

What's up with Guantanamo?

Two things:

1. It's a place for the US to experiment with psychological torture

2. It's a legal experiment too...how much can we get away with it we do it offshore and call the victims "enemy combatants" instead of prisoners of war or criminals?

The Nazis conducted similar experiments.
