Targeting a leftist government?
On March 9, Obama sent a letter to Congress announcing Venezuela as an “extraordinary threat to national security and foreign policy”.
In the late 90s, a Populist leader was elected in Venezuela who largely socialized the economy.
This isn’t a popular policy with the US, and now with tensions within Venezuela rising, the US is crying “civil rights violations” and making this declaration of conflict.
The recent deal between Cuba and the US is working, coincidently or intentionally, to isolate the leftist Venezuelan government.
Not to mention Venezuela may be working out negotiations with Colombia, the dubbed “Israel of the region” for the US.
One thing is for sure, the Venezuela government is not having it. They’re stepping up their military to counter the “imperialistic threat” impending.
Where will this complex story end up?
