Customs and Border Protection sets up permanent checkpoints near US borders with Mexico, and they’re becoming a hassle for US citizens as well.
The agency is free to set the checkpoint up within a reasonable distance of the boarder, defined by 100 air miles.
Internal checkpoints such as these placed in areas with heavy US traffic translate into officers harassing US citizens, and with the case in the guy in the video, even dragging him out of his car and handcuffing him for just asking a few questions about the procedures.
