The United States and Russia will collapse at similar rates due to their inability to get oil, a runaway military budget, a worsening trade deficit, and ballooning foreign debt. Their infinitely corrupt political systems aren't helping, either.

Don't be concerned, though, he jokingly adds as a caveat; it's just his theory.

But then again, he DID experience the Soviet collapse firsthand and then in 1995 noticed that the United States was on the same path.
